Lowe Products Co., Inc. has been in operation since 1969. It all began when John Lowe Jr. worked at the Veneer plant in Martinsburg. He saw that the bark was removed from the logs and sent to a waste facility. He did some research and the idea was born that he would use this waste to create mulch for trees and shrubs.
With his wife and young sons, he started Lowe Products Company Inc. Soon they were not only producing mulch, but bagging it as well. That idea grew into one of the leading mulch and soil producers in the Baltimore Washington Metropolitan area.
Our plant is located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, approximately forty-five miles west of Washington, D.C.
In addition to our modern automated production facilities, we own and operate our own trucking department. This enables us to provide faster, more dependable, service to our customers.
Our Master Gardener and Shenandoah premium labels have been familiar as high-quality mulch and soil products for over thirty years.
